Job Purpose
NETIS Group is actively seeking a Senior Solar Designer (m/f) to be based in Casablanca. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of NETIS Group’s Solar projects, overseeing tender applications and managing the end-to-end deployment of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop tailored power solutions for various Netis market segments (C&I, Mini grid, grid) and explore new power technologies.
- Demonstrate expertise in designing comprehensive solar solutions, from initial survey to final implementation.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and effective solar designs, while also maintaining productivity and profitability within the Energy Business Line.
- Oversee all knowledge-related activities, including management, capturing, sharing, and accessibility of knowledge assets.
- Collaborate with the BD Team and Sales to develop the Energy Market, ensuring its rapid growth.
- Ensure the longevity and succession plan of the business line.
- Assist in assessing competencies for internal and/or external recruitment.
- Develop local and regional competencies with direct monitoring.
- Prepare and share regular activity reports with the Top Management Team.
- Manage the budget of the activities effectively.
- Work closely with support services based in Morocco (Logistics, SHERQ, Finance, HR, Operations).
- Execute duties and responsibilities in accordance with ISO requirements, NETIS’ policies, and applicable laws.
- Ensure the development of SHERQ practices for NETIS and oversee compliance with those practices.
- Participate actively in risk assessment and hazard identification in the workplace.
- Facilitate, maintain, and manage all required activities related to updating and publishing relevant policies and procedures for NETIS at the Group and Subsidiaries levels.
Qualifications & Skills
- An engineering degree in the electrical, energy, or electronics field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in solar, with a minimum of 5 years in PV design.
- Proficiency in solar power planning, designs, MV & LV distribution networks, transformers, battery storage systems, and switchgear.
- Technical proficiency with software skills, including PVSYST and SKETCHUP.
- Experience in project management, customer handling, and business management.
- Strong skills in project and product management.
- Active communication and leadership abilities.
- Fluent proficiency in both English and French is required.
